Tip of the Week - Part Two

Last week, we shared the secret of where to find the best baguette in Mijas (Yohanna would say the BEST baguette in the WORLD!). We also teased the next installment of how to put that baguette to its best use.

Here it is - Tip of the Week Part Two.

Just steps from the BP Petrol station where you can get your baguette, you’ll find a little hole in the wall asador - the best spit roasted chicken to be found. Each fowl is stuffed with a mix of herbs and spices: whole garlic cloves, rosemary, bay leaves, you’ll even likely find a lemon inside. Slowly roasted freshly throughout the day, you’ll be able to find Pollos Fiesta just by following your nose.

Your chicken will be cut and put into a takeaway tin. Be sure to ask for plenty of the juice drippings. Dunking a hunk of your baguette to accompany your meal is pure heaven! Also good to know is that there are a couple of tables and chairs just outside the doors where you can enjoy the meal without having to take it home. Given the promise of flavour provided by the aroma in the area, you may need to take advantage of the opportunity to get a quick start!
